Dr Brad Leech
Describe Yourself

Clinical nutritionist, educator, and microbiome enthusiast dedicated to restoring optimal health through integrative medicine and holistic wellness.

When Was the Last Time You Felt Inspired?

When my son was born, I experienced a level of inspiration I wasn’t prepared for. Delivering and holding him for the first time reminded me of why I do this work: to help people create healthier lives, not just for themselves, but for their families and future generations. It was a moment that brought both perspective and purpose into sharp focus.

What Do You Value Most About Yourself and Why?

I value my ability to be present and to listen deeply, whether it's with a client, a colleague, or my family. Being present allows me to understand the root of what’s going on, not just the surface-level symptoms or conversations. I believe healing often begins by simply being seen and heard.

What's One Thing You Think Other People Overvalue?

Achievement without balance. There’s such a focus on hustle culture and doing more that we often lose sight of our health, our relationships, and what truly matters. I think we need to create more space for rest, reflection, and connection, not just for performance, but for wellbeing.

What Does the Word 'Wellbeing' Mean to You?

Wellbeing is about being in alignment, physically, emotionally, and mentally. It’s not about perfection or constantly chasing goals. For me, it means being in tune with your body, making intentional choices, and creating an environment that supports healing and growth.

What Is Your Relationship With Water?

Water has always been a place of calm and connection for me. Whether it’s swimming in the ocean, taking cold plunges, or simply sitting by the sea, it’s where I feel most centred. When I’m in a “mood”, my wife will often tell me to have a swim! It’s a great reset!

What’s a habit or practice that’s changed your life?

Ice baths. Hands down. I started doing them regularly this year, and they’ve completely rewired how I respond to stress. It’s not just about the resilience it builds, it’s about starting the day with clarity and intention. It’s also become a way to reconnect with my body, regulate my nervous system, and reset, especially during demanding times.

Have You Had Any Interesting Shower Thoughts Lately?

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about the quality of the water. As a new dad, I’ve become hyper-aware of things like chlorine and contaminants in our water supply, especially knowing how sensitive and absorbent a newborn’s skin is.
